Terms and Conditions for Membership and Advertising on the Guild’s Directory

Please read the following carefully before registering your Listing.
THIS AGREEMENT is made between The Craft Ecademy Ltd, “The Guild of Keepsake Artisans” and you the “Business Operator”.

“The Guild of Keepsake Artisans” is a trading style of The Craft Ecademy Ltd. A registered Company in England and Wales, whose office is at Unit 2 Rooks Farm, The Street, Rotherwick, Hook, Hampshire, RG27 9BG Registration No: 7340684.

By proceeding with the purchase of this Membership Package and Directory Listing, you (“The Business Operator”) agree to be legally bound by the terms and conditions (“the Terms) set out below with immediate effect.  If you do not agree to be legally bound by all of the following terms please do not continue with this purchase: 

Definitions

“Business Owner” Person or persons who owns, runs, manages or represents the Listed Business.

“Business Listing” All the details and images submitted for a Business Owner to describe it for the purpose of display on the Website.

“Subscription” The 12 month period that the Business Listing is displayed on the Website.

“Website” www.thekeepsakeguild.co.uk  or www.thekeepsakeguild.com

Content of Business Listings

“The Guild of Keepsake Artisans” accepts Business details in good faith and expects that Business Owners will provide an accurate description of their activities, products and Services.

All Business Listings should comply with relevant UK legislation including the Trade Descriptions Act 1968 (which covers false descriptions). The Business Owner agrees to indemnify “The Guild of Keepsake Artisans” against all claims, costs arising out of any misleading information within their listings.

The “Guild of Keepsake Artisans” will take every care to reproduce faithfully the text, contact details and logos provided to us by Business Owners. We will not however be held liable for any loss arising out of any error or omission on our part.

“The Guild of Keepsake Artisans” reserves the right to determine the design and layout of Business Listings, and (at our discretion) make alterations to submitted details or logos, should we consider it to be necessary. “The Guild of Keepsake Artisans” will not be held liable for any loss arising out of such alterations.

Business Details

We advise against copying your Business and Product description from other Websites or adverts due to Google and other search engines policy on duplicate content.

If you copy the Business and Product details on your Business Listing from another Website we cannot guarantee that your Business details will be listed in any search engine. It is your responsibility to ensure that the description is unique and informative.

Business Listing Standards

When submitting your Business details you agree to the Business Listing Standards. If when reviewing your Business Listing, it does not meet our standards it will be suspended until the appropriate changes are made.

All changes to the Business Listing made by yourself, are monitored and your Business Listing will be suspended if your Business Listing does not meet our standards.

Materials and Logos

“The Guild of Keepsake Artisans” will take the utmost care of all materials and logo provided for Business Listing, but cannot be held liable for any loss or damage however caused.

Copyright

It is the responsibility of the Business Owner to ensure they have the right to reproduce any digital images that they supply to us. The Business Owner agrees to indemnify “The Guild of Keepsake Artisans” against all claims costs arising out of any infringement of copyright for such images.

All digital images produced by “The Guild of Keepsake Artisans” from digital images supplied by Business Owners are the property of  “The Guild of Keepsake Artisans”, and shall not be reproduced without our permission.

Liability

“The Guild of Keepsake Artisans” cannot be held liable for any loss or damages howsoever incurred, including consequential losses such as lost income, in connection with Subscription on the Directory Website.

Link to Personal Website

“The Guild of Keepsake Artisans” will (at our sole discretion) include one link per listing to a personal website. This link will be placed beneath the Business owner’s contact details at the end of the advertisement. The personal website must relate only to the Business Listing on our web site. We reserve the right to refuse such links, or remove them without notice.

Activity Locations

For SEO purposes Multiple Business Activities or Services must not be described on a single Business Listing.  Separate Business listings will be necessary for each activity, i.e. Fingerprint Jewellery, Artwork Jewellery, Baby Casting etc.  The Directory has been designed in this way to assist with effective SEO.

Sharing your details

We will never share your details with any other party without your consent. 

Payment

The period of Membership and for each Business Listing will be for a minimum period of 12 months. Payment will be by monthly recurring subscription and will continue until such a time that the Membership or Business Listing is cancelled or terminated by the Member.  Cancellation must be made in writing, with 4 weeks notice to:  info@thekeepsakeguild.co.uk

Renewal

Your Subscription will automatically renew at the end of the initial 12 month term and monthly subscription fees will continue to be collected until such a time that the Membership or Business Listing is cancelled or terminated by the Member.  Cancellation must be made in writing, with 4 weeks notice to:  info@thekeepsakeguild.co.uk

Refusal, Termination or Withdrawal of Business Listing

“The Guild of Keepsake Artisans” reserves the absolute right to refuse to accept Membership or withdraw any Business Listing submitted. If the Business Listing has been paid for on-line a full refund will be made. Under no circumstances will any compensation be payable by “The Guild of Keepsake Artisans” for any loss howsoever incurred, including loss of income, the time/cost involved in submitting the Business Listing etc.

If “The Guild of Keepsake Artisans” receives a complaint about a Member, their products or services, we reserve the right to remove the Members Business Listing from our web site without notice, if in our opinion the complaint is reasonably substantiated.. In all cases our decision will be final. A refund will not be paid and under no circumstances will any compensation be payable by “The Guild of Keepsake Artisans” for any loss howsoever incurred, including loss of income, re-advertising costs etc.

The Business Owner may choose to cancel their Membership or withdraw their Business Listing from The Directory website.  However, Membership is for a minimum period of 12 months.  If the Business Operators wishes to terminate the Membership or Directory Listing after this time, this request should be make in writing to:  info@thekeepsakeguild.co.uk

Level of Service

“The Guild of Keepsake Artisans” will make every effort to provide Busines Owners with a first class service. “The Guild of Keepsake Artisans” will endeavour as far as practical to ensure that the Website is available on the Internet at all times. However some breaks in service are inevitable and often beyond our control, we are therefore unable to guarantee 100% availability.

Finally

“The Guild of Keepsake Artisans” may change the content of the terms and conditions, and our Business Listing standards during your period of Membership Subscription - notice will be given prior to any change via email.

Business Listing Standards

Our standards have been introduced to ensure that your Business Listing looks professional and user friendly. We want to supply customers with up-to-date, and accurate information, which will enable them to find out what they need to know from your Business Listing.

Every Business Listing submitted to us will be reviewed to ensure that it meets these standards. If a Business Listing does not meet our standards, then we will suspend the Business Listing until the Business Owner makes the appropriate changes.

Duplicate Activity Details

You must not, duplicate your Business Listing details from any other Website or advertisement, the descriptions must be unique. Search engines are now removing pages which have been copied from, or duplicated on another site.

Website link

A website can be linked from your Business Listing, but your website must not promote any Products and Services that are not listed on our website.

Quality of Logos

Listings allow you to provide a logo to represent your Services which will be displayed alongside your Business Listing. Logos which are fuzzy, and of bad quality, too large or too small will be rejected.

Complaints

Complaints from users of our Website are treated very seriously. If we have evidence that your Business Listing does not meet UK advertising standard laws we have the right to suspend or terminate your Activity Listing.
